The Older Brother

A close friend of Robin's in high school, I was lucky to spend lots of time at Peggy and Keith Schwien's home. And, Gene was Robin's good lookin', savy, funny older brother -- who was always smiling. (I'm sure I was the annoying little kid who hung out with his younger sister.) When I moved from Ulysses I lost track of Gene, except for an occasional update from Robin. A few minutes ago I read  of the many ways he contributed his time and talents to Ulysses and the people of his community. His family can be very proud of Gene, and the man he was. Undoubtedly he made his little corner of the world a better place.
