Craig Boomhower

Funeral Director/Embalmer/Certified Crematory Operator

Craig Boomhower is a graduate of Dighton High School, Dodge City Community College, and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.  He has owned Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton since 1979 and became partner in Garnand Funeral Home in 1991.  Craig lives in Garden City, serves as President of Ranger Feeders II, has served on Kansas local and state boards, and is currently the President of the Kansas State Board of Mortuary Arts.  His mother, Marlene, lives in Dighton and was also one of the dedicated Boomhower family members to serve the community in the 80’s and 90’s. He enjoys golfing and traveling with friends.

Darin Bradstreet

Funeral Director/Embalmer/Certified Crematory Operator

Darin Bradstreet is a graduate of Dighton High School, Dodge City Community College and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.  He is President of Garnand Funeral Homes and became a partner in 1991.  He served on of the Policy Board, the Leadership Development and Pursuit of Excellence Committees for the National Funeral Directors Association and was past President of the Kansas Funeral Directors Association.  He is a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner accredited through the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.  He has also served on numerous local community boards and plays TAPS for civic events and veteran’s funeral honors.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wife Jeanne; daughters, Sarah & husband Chris, Abby, and Lindsay; and grandchildren Carson and Caleb. His passion in service extends beyond his family, to friends and families of those who have lost a loved one.

Darrin Figgins

Funeral Director/Embalmer/Certified Crematory Operator

Darrin Figgins was born and raised in Southwest Kansas.  He is a graduate of Stanton County High School, Colby Community College and the University of Central Oklahoma; where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Funeral Service.  After working in the Funeral Industry in Oklahoma City for 5 years, Darrin aspired to serve in the industry in a place "where people know your name".  In 1995 he and his wife Stacy moved to Ulysses, where they currently reside.  Darrin has served on numerous boards and committees; he currently serves on the BWMH/Centura Health Board of Trustees, Grant County Airport Board and the Grant County Cemetery Board.  He started with Garnand in 1998 and became a partner in Garnand Funeral Chapel in September of 1999.  Darrin serves families in Ulysses, Johnson, Hugoton,  and Elkhart.  He and his wife Stacy enjoy spending time with their Golden Retriever, Willow.

Colette Myers

Assistant Funeral Director

Colette Myers, licensed Assistant Funeral Director, has lived in the Ulysses area for over 25 years and employed with Garnand Funeral Home since 2005.  She enjoys gardening and helping her husband Randy with their cow/calf operation.  She has been a wonderful asset to the families in the communities of Ulysses, Johnson, Hugoton and Elkhart. 

Consuelo "Sway" Sandoval 

Assistant Funeral Director and Licensed Insurance Agent

Consuelo “Sway” Sandoval has lived in Garden City since the late 1980’s and started at Garnand Funeral Home in 2013.   She is a licensed Assistant Funeral Director and Insurance Agent.  She speaks, reads, and writes Spanish proficiently.  She and her husband Steve have two children, Brandon and Allison.

Jerrico Peoples
Assistant Funeral Director

 Jerrico Peoples was born and raised in Garden City. He graduated from Garden City High School in 2015. He is bilingual and is entrusted with the daily operations of the office. He and his wife Gloria have two children, Lauren and Wylie. 

LaTosha West
Funeral Director/Embalmer/Certified  Crematory Operator

LaTosha West grew up in Scott City, Kansas where she graduated from Scott Community High School. After making the decision to leave a career in farming and agriculture she then graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with a Degree in Mortuary Science in 2019. Upon completion of Mortuary Science School she relocated to Garden City to better assist families. LaTosha is fully licensed and enjoys spending time at the lake or chasing her son around with various activities.
