Condolence From: Jacque Edmundson Marsh
Condolence: Although I haven't visited with Ellen in quite some time, we certainly had hours of laughs in the past. She was a good friend to me in high school and we had great fun together.

My fondest memories are of playing softball with the Newsome IGA team of which we both were members. I remember vividly our dynamite infield of Ellen on 3rd, Mary Jo as roving shortstop, Kara Martin on 2nd and me on first. Ellen had a searing throw and many times I thought there MUST be a hole in my 1st baseman's mitt! But alas, it was a sturdy mitt. I remember in one game we got a triple play (the only one of my "career") - I believe it was an impossible line drive to 3rd...which Ellen caught then tagged the runner that had left for home and was returning to 3rd and burned it to me to get the out returning from 2nd. Oh what great memories. We NEVER worried when a ball was hit to Ellen because she always fielded it!

Please know that my heart goes out to the family and I hope you take comfort in each other. - Jacque

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about this. Ellen was a wonderful person and great nurse. My co-worker from Garden City remembers her as a great softball teammate at GCCC. She will be missed. Betty, Jeanie, and Ann, you are in my thoughts.
