Marriage: to Gordon Wesley Gillock on June 9, 1968 at Liberal

Barbara attended school in Hugoton and Liberal and graduated from Liberal High School in 1964. She graduated from Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma with her Business Administration Degree. She then worked as the Assistant to the Dean Of Instruction at Seward County Community College. While her husband served in Vietnam and at Fort Hood she lived in Kileen, Texas. After his discharge they moved to Deerfield and then to Dodge City where she worked as a Secretary at Dodge City Community College. They moved to Hays and Garden City before returning to Deerfield in 1985 and she worked as a Cashier at Wal-Mart in Garden City. She enjoyed her family activities, sewing, cooking, TV and reading. She “adopted” several kids and was “Grandma Barb” to many. She was preceded in death by her Parents & 1Son- Sheridan M. Gillock.
