Dighton- William E. “Billy” Elam, 46, died Monday October 10, 2022 at his home in Dighton. He was born on March 26, 1976 in Lamar, Colorado to Edward William Elam and Sharon Barton.

Billy’s family moved around some in his childhood before settling in Dodge City. Billy was a plumber and painter by trade, really he was gifted in all areas of home construction. He loved to fish especially with members of his family. Billy moved to Dighton, Kansas to be closer to a brother and was currently working for a local farmer.

He is survived by his Father- Edward William (Charlene) Elam of Dodge City, Kansas, Siblings- William Chad (Barb) Elam of Reno, Nevada, Preston Duane Elam of Iowa, Scott Mills, Ness City, and Keena, Sons- Colby Elam and William Elam, Granddaughter- Peyton Elam.
He is preceded in death by his Mother- Sharon Barton, Grandparents- Martha Elam, Earl Barton, and Lily Faye Martinez.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday October, 21, 2022 at the Dighton Memorial Cemetery in Dighton, Kansas with Pastor Ken Bowden officiating. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Billy Elam Memorial Fund in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
