Obituary for Tammy Guerrero

Tammy Guerrero was called home from this world on Sunday October 29, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was born May 9, 1965 to Leonard and Virginia (Bishop) Green in Garden City, Kansas, the oldest of three children. After graduating from Garden City High School in 1983, she attended Garden City Community College where she gained certifications as an EMT, a CNA, and as a Medical Assistant which allowed her to begin working in her lifelong passion of being in the medical field and helping others. In 1981, she met her husband Juan Guerrero and later married him on October 17th, 1987, and had two daughters.

Tammy enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music, singing, dancing, but most of all being with her family and sharing laughter. Tammy had such a love and passion to learn all she could about history, knowledgeable of just about any event you could think of. She had a kindness that left an imprint on all those that she met, and she ensured each person knew they counted in this world. Tammy enjoyed going on trips with her family, and getting to take in nature in all its beauty. Fall was her favorite time of the year, as she loved watching the leaves turn, the changing landscape brought her much joy. Tammy brought a peace to many around her. She was a listening ear, a friend, reliable, dependable, a hard worker, and a shoulder to cry on. She was born to be a mother, and far exceeded her fulfillment in every role she stepped into and left behind big shoes to fill. Tammy was a woman worth novels of words to be noted about her.

Tammy is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Virginia Green, as well as paternal and maternal grandparents, and beloved sister-in-law Maria (Guerrero) Murrison. She is survived by her husband Juan, her two daughters Alison (Alyss) and Abigail Guerrero, her siblings Thomas Green and Angella Grim, extended family, and her beloved dogs Darby and Pudge.
