Steven Walter Harold, 68, died Monday October 19, 2020 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born January 14, 1952 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Basil Leroy and Eva Adell (Ling) Harold.
Steve spent his lifetime as a resident of Garden City attending and graduating from the local schools and on to the Community College. He was gifted in many areas including cooking, carpentry, gardening, and landscaping.
There was a time that Steve spent several months in recovery after sustaining a traumatic head injury, during that time he discovered an interest and talent in water color and acrylic painting. His interest in art proved to be quite a talent and he created many beautiful pieces. Although Steve was a jack-of-all-trades he most recently worked for and retired from Westlake Hardware.
Survivors include his Brother Ron and wife Donna Baker, niece Joy Baker, Step Nephews Brian Rixon and wife Mandy, Brad Rixon and Wife Rosie and Step Niece Sheri Rixon and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm October 31, 2020 at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas with Brian Rixon officiating.
