Sherri Lee McMillan, 65, died Sunday, March 20, 2022, at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born June 11, 1956, in Garden City the daughter of Charles & Phyllis (Beamer) Lancaster.
Sherrie has been a lifetime resident of Garden City where she attended Garden City schools. On August 17, 1973, she married Robert “Mark” McMillan in Garden City. A homemaker, Sherri loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and Fishing. She was a member of the Eagle’s Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband Robert “Mark” McMillan of the home; six children Michelle (Michael) Reppart of Ulysses, Kansas, Sandra (Katlin) Watts of Abilene, Kansas, John (Krista) McMillan of Garden City, Kansas, Desiree McMillan of Garden City, Kansas, Joseph McMillan of Garden City, Kansas, & Mersadez McMillan of Garden City, Kansas; a brother Dean Lancaster of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters Peggy Palmer, Pam Komlofske, & Terri Caldwell all of Garden City, Kansas; six grandchildren Ashley Baker, Morgan Reppart, Taylor Reppart, Danaya McMillan, Charles McMillan, & Brayden McMillan; and three great grandchildren Logan Reppart, Kalani Baker, & Arya Reppart-Garcia. Sherri is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Dominic McMillan.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Cornerstone Church in Garden City with Pastor Matt Bondarenko and Chaplain Michael Gonzalez officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to Wounded Warriors in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
