Garden City- Sherian L. “Sheri” Wilson, 68, died on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at her home in Garden City. She was born on January 10, 1954 at San Francisco, California the daughter of Wilburn Leo & Beatrice Juel (Barnes) Bird.

Sheri lived in several places in California and Missouri before settling in Garden City. She worked at the family business- Cattleman’s Café before becoming a longtime kitchen worker at St Catherine Hospital. She would later earn her GED and an Associates in General Studies at GCCC. She also spent several years as a Home Interior representative as well. Sheri’s favorite pastime was attending Bingo regularly! Sheri believed her greatest accomplishment in life to be her children, and she will be remembered by her sons as the utmost loving and wonderful mother!

She is survived by her 2 Sons- Daniel (Paula Emery) Gish of Destin, Florida and Justin Wilson of Beaverton, Oregon, 3 Brothers- Joe Bird and John Jackson both of Garden City and Donald Ives of San Diego, California, Sister- Reba Heath of Garden City, Step-Brother- Peter Ives, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada and 5 Grandchildren(6 with a baby boy coming this fall)- Payten Daniel Collazo, Savannah Lynn Wilson, Journie Anne Wilson, William Joseph Wilson, and Lainey Mae Wilson.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 19 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Rev. John Harms officiating. Burial will be in Lakin Cemetery in Lakin. Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Garnand Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Sherian Wilson Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
