Obituary for Senayda Garza
Senayda Garza, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 6, 2020, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. She was born April 21, 1940, in Orange Grove, Texas, the daughter of Eliseo and Paula (Lopez) Garza.
Senayda was a long time member of the Ulysses community. She was a member of The Templo Emmanuel Church and enjoyed attending regularly. She liked listening to Christian music, doing crossword puzzles and word searches in her free time. Senayda loved being a mother and grandmother more than anything. She always felt that it was a true blessing to raise and care for her children. Senayda was always concerned with others wellbeing and looked after her family often.
Senayda is survived by her sons, Ricardo Carabajal of Ulysses, Kansas, Jim Carabajal and wife Lee of Shawnee, Kansas, and David Carabajal and wife Laura of Iola, Texas; daughters, Janie Chavez and husband Alonzo of Ulysses, Kansas, and Enedina Carabajal and husband Hector Ronquillo of Haysville, Kansas; brother, Samuel Garza of Plains, Kansas; sister, Antonia Carabajal of Ulysses, Kansas; 21 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Senayda is preceded in death by her parents; son Adolf Carabajal, three sisters and seven brothers.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Templo Emmanuel Church in Ulysses, Kansas, with Pastor George Devora officiating. The church requires everyone to wear a mask. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, November 10, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
