Obituary for Robert "Bob" Trosper
Robert “Bob” Trosper, 74, died Monday, November 30, 2020 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born November 12, 1946 in Lamar, Colorado the son of Franklin M. & Marjorie I. (Kirby) Trosper.
Bob grew up in Lamar, Colorado where he attended schools and graduated from high school. He then attended and graduated from Nebraska Christian College in Norfolk, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts degree in ministry. Bob’s passion was preaching and teaching the Bible and writing lesson guides for small group studies. He worked in sales of building materials in Garden City for several years. Bob then worked with road maintenance for the Kansas Department of Transportation until his retirement.
On November 30, 1991, he married Freda Sue Martindale Richardson in Garden City. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter Sheri L. Castelow of Virginia; a son Patrick M. Trosper of Fountain, Colorado; a daughter-in-law Patty Trosper of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Donald Trosper and James Trosper.
A private family service will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to the Donor’s Choice in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
