Obituary for Rick L. Huber
Rick L. Huber, 62, of Lavaca, AR went to be with God on January 20, 2021 at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City, KS.
Rick was born on October 9, 1958 in Garden City, KS to Louis and Barbara Huber. He married his high school sweetheart, Marcy Huber, on August 7, 1976. During their 44 years of marriage, they had two kids and four grandkids. He was a resident of Garden City, KS for 55 years, before moving to Lavaca, AR 7 years ago. A lifelong hardworking self-employed business owner of multiple businesses for 44 years until retiring in September 2020. Spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids is something he loved to do. He enjoyed fishing and golfing with his siblings and brothers-in-law. His favorite thing to do was make memories with his grandkids. A devoted husband, loving father, and amazing Papa.
He is survived by his wife Marcy Huber. children Jeremy (son) and Kasey Huber and Stacey (daughter) and Casey Carr. Grandchildren Jakob Huber, Kamdyn Carr, Ryder Carr, and Kashton Carr. Mother Barbara Huber. Brothers; Robin Huber, Henry Huber, Mike Huber, Jeff Huber, and Dewey Huber. Sisters Donna Meinert and Soni Brimm. Lots of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Louis Huber.
The family is requesting a private family service, but everyone is welcome to watch the service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 on Facebook Live on the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Family burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday all at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials given to Spirit of the Plains CASA in care of the funeral home.
