Garden City- Patty Zimmerman Tarpley, 63, died on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born on May 25, 1957 at Garden City the daughter of Esther Eveline Rich. She married Ronald Tarpley on August 5, 1978 at Garden City.

Patty was a 1975 graduate from Garden City High School. She worked at several places in Garden City including a bowling alley, Subway, Coldwell Banker and Tri-State Industries. She enjoyed playing softball in her younger days, taking care of animals at the zoo, quilting, reading Stephen King books and playing games on her tablet.

She is survived by her Husband- Ronald Tarpley, Son- Matthew Tarpley of Abilene, Texas, 2 Brothers- Lloyd Zahnter of Holcomb and Larry Zimmerman of California, 3 Sisters- Paulette Fief of Junction City, Peggy Strong of Holcomb and Phyllis Partin of Garden City, 3 Grandchildren and 8 Nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Mother.

Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home with Rev Bob Bates officiating. The service will be on Facebook Live on the Garn and Funeral Home facebook page. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home.
