Obituary for Patricia J. Grasser

Garden City- Pat J. Burkhart Grasser, 76, died on Friday, April 8, 2022 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born on February 11, 1946 at Dodge City the daughter of William G. & Martina (Hertel) Burkhart. She married Gerald J. Grasser on May 15, 1965 at Offerle.

Pat attended Offerle Grade School and graduated from Windhorst High School. She was a longtime Garden City resident and was a homemaker along with being an Avon Representative for 33 years. She was a member of St Dominic Catholic Church of Garden City and former Altar Society member. She enjoyed polka dancing, playing cards, bowling, western movies, her flower garden and praying the rosary but especially being involved with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren in their activities.

She is survived by her Husband- Gerald J. Grasser, Son- Kenny (Kim) Grasser of Garden City, Daughters- Sheila (Rusty) Bruns of Baldwin City and Kim Weaver of Amarillo, Texas, 7 Brothers- Don Burkhart of Goddard, Gary (Linda) Burkhart of Lyndon, Allen (Betty) Burkhart of Wright, Mark Burkhart of Spearville, Norman (Linda) Burkhart of Langdon, Tom (Krista) Burkhart of Cimarron and Roger Burkhart of Spearville, 3 Sisters- Elaine (Jerry) Gerber of Garden Plain, Connie (Jerry) Burgardt of Pratt and Linda (Melvin) Strecker of Spearville, 3 Sister-In-Laws- Marge Ruder of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Louise (Dwaine) Lampe of Spearville and Elvira Lorenzen of Fort Worth, Texas, 7 Grandchildren- Jeremy (Hilary) Whiteley, Rheanna (Josh) Kitch, Cody Bruns, Cameron Bruns, Caden Bruns, Evan (Journee) Widowski and Seth Weaver and 4 Great-Grandchildren- Karson Whiteley, Collins Whiteley, Austin Kitch and Everett Widowski.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Father & Mother- In- Law- Henry & Bernadine Grasser, Sister-In-Law- Annette Burkhart, Brother & Sister-In-Law- Leo & Marilyn Grasser and 2 Brother-In-Laws- Larry Lorenzen and Jerry Ruder.

Rosary will be at 10:30 AM with Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 22, 2022 at St Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City with Rev Warren Stecklein as Celebrant. Private burial will be in St John The Baptist Cemetery in Spearville at a later date.
