Obituary for Miguel Macias Galvez
Miguel Macias Galvez, died February 27, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi St Francis in Wichita, Kansas.
Miguel was born July 5, 1968 in Mexico to Toribio Macias and Julia Galvez and raised by a close knit circle of family. He moved to the United States in 1986 and began the hard work he was destined to complete. Not just as an employee but as a family man. He met Nonie at young age, they fell in love and were married for over 29 years. He enjoyed fixing things. He had a great love for his horses and shared this joy with his children. He could not stand to see anything go to waste and many times his family would find he had recycled something they had thrown away into something useful. His family will forever cherish the memories and appreciate his good deeds, words, and actions.
He is survived by his Wife- Nonie Macias of the home; Children- Jonathan Macias of California, Sabino Macias, Josefina Macias and Liliana Macias of the home; Father- Toribio (Eva) Macias; Siblings-Esperanza Macias Varela, Miguel E. Macias, Teresa Orona, Ciro Macias, Carlos (Tammy) Macias, Santiago Macias, Lorena Macias, Eloy Macias, Esperanza Macias Flores and Guadalupe Macias & numerous Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his; Brother-Manuel Macias(1994); Grandparents- Sabino Macias (1980) & Josefa Ramirez (2003) & Mother- Julia Galvez( 1968).
A Rosary will be held 7:30 pm Thursday March 3, 7:30 and Funeral Mass at 12:00 Saturday March 5, 2022 both at St Mary Catholic Church. Burial will take place at a later date. There will not be any visitation. The family suggests memorials to the Miguel Macias Memorial Fund in Care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N 7th Street, Garden City, KS 67846.
