Obituary for Maria Aurora Casas de Bañuelos
Maria Aurora Casas de Bañuelos, 83, died Thursday January 20, 2022 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born September 24, 1938 in Zacatecas Mexico the daughter of Praxedis de Casas and Maria Cleofas Talavera. She married Juan Pablo Bañuelos on February 11, 1957. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2010.
Maria Aurora’s life revolved around her family. From the minute she and Pablo started leaving each other messages during the early days of their courtship, until they celebrated their 53 years of marriage, she gave her heart and soul unconditionally. The examples of love, stewardship, and humble blessings she bestowed are the legacies she leaves in the hearts of those she loved. She was a devout Catholic and prayed daily that by the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary her family would thrive and remain safe from all perils.
Survivors include her Children-Felipe Bañuelos and wife Angelina, Jose Bañuelos and wife Herlinda, Maria Bañuelos and husband Luis, Alicia Bañuelos and husband Raynaldo, Felix Bañuelos and wife Norma, Silviano Bañuelos and wife Gloria, Rafaela Bañuelos and husband Roberto, David Bañuelos and wife Maria, Pedro Bañuelos and wife Rosario, Yolanda Bañuelos and husband David, Miguel Bañuelos and wife Leticia, Elia Bañuelos and husband Carlos, Cristina Bañuelos and husband Guadalupe & Juan Bañuelos and wife Sonia; 47 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren & Siblings- Guadalupe Casas and Leonor Casas.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a grandchild-Catalina Bañuelos.
Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday January 25, 2022 at Garnand Funeral Home with a 7:30 pm Rosary to follow at St Mary Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Wednesday January 26, 2022 at St Mary Catholic Church with Father Jacob Schneider as Celebrant and broadcast live via the St. Mary Catholic Church Facebook Page. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
