Luis Andres Hernandez, 22, died Thursday October 8, 2020 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born June 21, 1998 in Garden City, Kansas to Marciano and Martha Irene (Heredia Molina) Hernandez.
Luis graduated from Holcomb High School in 2017 and had worked as a gas station attendant. His family and friends describe a gentle, generous soul who was keen to others suffering and put their needs before his. He was a one of kind uncle, and his nieces and nephews always knew they could count on his support. His hobbies included playing video games and cheering on his Panthers.
Survivors include his parents-Marciano & Martha Irene Hernandez; siblings-Norma Pantoja, Marciano Hernandez Jr., Julian Hernandez, Carlos Heredia, Rebecca Hernandez & Jose Armando Heredia Hernandez and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 pm Monday October 12, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00- 3:30 pm at Garnand Funeral Home and 5:00-7:00 pm at St Mary Catholic Church with Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm all on Sunday October 11, 2020. The family suggests memorials to the Luis A. Hernandez Memorial Fund in Care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. 7th Street, Garden City, KS 67846.
