Obituary for Lucinda Kim West

Garden City- Lucinda Kim West, 60, passed away Saturday December 26, 2020 in her home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born August 29, 1960 in Garden City, KS the daughter of George and Dominga (Servantez) Cruz.

Lucinda aka Cindy was a devoted servant of God, mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. On February 4, 1983 she married Gary West, her beloved husband whom survives. Cindy invested in people and made everyone feel important. A courageous woman with unwavering faith. Strong in her conviction, and dedication to her family. The pillar of strength and forgiveness. Her heart and home were open to all. Her power lied in the ability to provide comfort with her words and an unconditional embrace. Her conversational skills imparted wisdom and guidance. And she empowered people to love others as they are and not whom they are expected to be. She enjoyed traveling and attending concerts with her sister and brother. A lover of music, and coffee. She often nagged her husband for his love for football; but secretly cherished those moments watching game after game. Time was merely a concept as she was late for everything; but was always present at the right time. She devoted 25-years of her life supporting individuals with disabilities as an advocate and friend. Instilling kindness and compassion in her kids to love all god’s children. Cindy’s love for people will superseded her journey on earth and her spirit is rejoicing in heaven for eternity.

In addition to her husband Gary, she is survived by her Children- Juaquin Andrés Cruz, Marcus Benjamin West, Lorenzo Charles West, & Chiara Nicole West.
