Obituary for Loretta Anne Lang
Loretta Anne Lang, 71, died Friday, January 15, 2021 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born November 18, 1949 in Hoisington, Kansas the daughter of Herman Joseph & Elizabeth Anne (Webb) Lang.
Loretta moved with her family to Holcomb, Kansas when she was a child. She attended Holcomb schools and graduated from Holcomb High School in 1967. She then attended and graduated from the Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, Kansas. Loretta has lived most of her life in the Holcomb and Garden City area. On April 12, 1969, she married Larry Kent Earnest in Garden City, Kansas. Loretta worked as a dental assistant and later worked as an office manager at Garden Medical Center. She later became the owner and operator of The Calliope in Garden City. Loretta had a love for various arts and crafts.
Survivors include two daughters Autumn Wright and Amber Crist both of Garden City, Kansas; her mother Elizabeth Lang of Garden City, Kansas; a brother Kenneth Lang of Garden City; two sisters Elaine Becker and Tina Lang both of Garden City; and four grandsons Raider Fowler, Dayton Crist, Remington Wright, & Ralen Wright. Loretta is preceded in death by her father Herman Lang; a brother Larry Lang; and two sisters Carol Wright and Lois Lang.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Von Hunn officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to the Loretta Lang Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
