Obituary for Leeta Teresa Dingus

Leeta Teresa Dingus, 80, died February 4th, 2021 at her home in Holcomb Kansas. Born September 22, 1940 in Rolla Missouri. The daughter of Raymond A. and Elsie M. (Borlisch) Wishon. She married Clarence (Red) Dingus on April 12, 1961 in Garden City, Ks. They lived in Garden City until 1965, when they moved to Holcomb and have lived in Holcomb since.

Leeta was retired management for “Dingus Well Service” of Holcomb Ks. from 1969 to 2017. Devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her family, reading, and garage selling.

Survivors include her husband Clarence (Red) Dingus of the home; daughter Cheryl Fryar and husband Marty of Larned Ks., son Darin Dingus and wife Jane, of Holcomb Ks., and son Steve Dingus and wife Elizabeth, of Richland Missouri; Grandchildren: Christopher Parker, Amber Atchinson, Anthony and Andrew Dingus, Chassidy Green, Quency, Wesley, Bethany, Avery, Khloey, Malachi, and Darby Dingus; 16 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great grandchildren; and two sisters, Patricia Baier of Oklahoma and Loretta Wishon of Garden City Ks.

Leeta is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Raymond A. Wishon Jr., Chester Edward Wishon, Marion Joseph Wishon, and Arnold Wishon; and sisters Dorthy Shipley, Deloris Miller, and Marietta Burtis.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Church of the Brethren in Garden City with Von Hunn officiating. The service may also be viewed on Facebook Live on the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will follow at the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. The family suggests memorials given to Friends of Lee Richardson Zoo in care of the funeral home.
