LaTanya Clark-Oliver, 61, died Tuesday May 17, 2022 at her home in Garden City, Kansas. She was born June 10, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. The daughter of Frederick and Kathryn Clark. Tanya lost her mother at a young age and was then raised by Willa Mae and Eddie Myers.
Tanya accepted Jesus Christ at an Early age. She attended Union Baptist Church in Chicago, for many years where she was a member of the choir until she relocated to Kansas City. She married Danny William Clark in 1991, the family moved to Garden City in 2009.
Tanya was a strong and independent woman, intelligent, and disciplined. She was kind, a loving and caring mother; spiritual and rooted in her faith. Tanya loved to read and dance and not only did she love to sing, she was good at it!
She is survived by her Husband- Danny William Oliver, Sons- Frederick Lydell Oliver, William Justice Oliver, David Jermaine Oliver, Granddaughter- Sinaya, Brother- Frederick and wife Carla Clark, Sisters- Belinda Clark, Lynett Clark, Angela Clark- Harris and her husband Michael, Caroline Clark, Grandmother- Rosie Lee Mitchell, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday May 28, 2022 at the Second Baptist Church in Garden City, Kansas with Rev. William Simon officiating.
