Dighton- Kathryn Ann Panzner, 78, died on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at
Hodgeman County Health Center in Jetmore. She was born on September 7, 1942 at
Los Angeles, California the daughter of Fay & Ruth (Bobbitt) Keith. She married
Richard Edward “Dick” Panzner on January 27, 1962 at Clayton, New Mexico. He
died on August 25, 2018.
Kathy graduated high school at Oakdale, California and attended College at Modesto,
California. She moved to Lane County after her marriage and worked as a Secretary
at Grumbein Motors and had a income tax preparation business out of her home.
After her sons were raised she returned to college and graduated from Fort Hays
State University and became a Certified Public Accountant. She went to work for the
State of Kansas and was a Sales Tax Auditor for 5 years, Accountant at Larned
Correctional Mental Health Facility for 10 years and an Auditor for Nursing Home
inspections. She was a member of Kansas Cattlemen ‘s Association and R-Calf.
She is survived by her Sons- Anson (Deb) Panzner of Dighton and Ty Panzner of
Jetmore, Brother- Ralph Keith of Oakdale, California, Sister- Marie Reynolds of
Oakdale, California, 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 Brothers- Alvie Keith and David
Keith, 2 Sisters- Tressie Hunsaker and Lois Meddock and Granddaughter- Courtney
Panzner.
There will be no services held. Memorials are suggested to Scott City Animal Rescue
