Obituary for Julie Kirchoff
Julie Fishback Kirchoff, 63, died Sunday, November 15, 2020 due to complication of MS.
Julie was born in Wichita, Kansas on May 9, 1957 to James & Patricia (Glover) Fishback. She married Jerry W. Kirchoff on May 23, 1976 in Garden City, Kansas. They raised two children, Sasha and Tanner. Julie graduated from Garden City Community College with a nursing degree and started her career at St. Catherine Hospital in 1989. She then went on to work for Dr. Michael J. Baughman at Sandhill Orthopedics from 1994-2014. She retired from Kansas Orthopedics and Sandhill Orthopedics in 2018. For over 24 years, she dedicated her life to helping and mentoring people. Julie had a clever personality and a big heart.
Julie is preceded in death by her parents and her older brother Jim Fishback.
Julie is survived by her husband Jerry; children Sasha (Jerade) Dacus and Tanner (Christina) Kirchoff; five grandchildren Colten & Keegan Dacus; Mikayla, Ty & Trey Kirchoff; sister-in-law Meg Thorn Fishback, her younger brother John (Sarah) Fishback; nephew Brian (Rachel) Fishback; and great nephew Simon.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to the National MS Society or to the Finney County Humane Society both in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
