Leoti- Jose Jesus Marquez, 74, died Wednesday November 25, 2020 at his home in Leoti, Kansas. He was born February 16, 1946 in Temosachic Chihuahhua, Mexico the son of Pedro and Celsa Marquez. He married Elvia Varela on May 8, 1967.

Jose was a hardworking man having devoted more than 40 years to his career at Whitham’s Feedyard where he ran the mill. Family and working to provide for his family were the most important things to him.

He is survived by his Wife- Elvia Marquez of the home, Sons- Enrique Marquez of Garden City, Cesar Marquez of Florida, Jose Marquez of Leoti, Daughter- Noemi Marquez of Leoti, 9 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild, 5 Sisters, and 2 Brothers.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

A Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 pm Friday December 4, 2020 and Funeral Mass at 11:00 am Saturday December 5, 2020 both at St. Anthony of Padua’s Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas with Rev.
