Obituary for Joe C Garcia
Joe C Garcia died Thursday December 22, 2022 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born July 1, 1947 the son of Pete and Jovita (Cardenas) Garcia in Taylor, Texas. He married Susie Rojas on January 2, 1969 in Garden City, Kansas. She preceded him in death in 1991.
He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, proudly serving his county from 1967 through 1969 and was awarded the Marksmen Badge and National Defense Service Medal. He was a talented woodworker and carpenter for St Catherine Hospital for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed taking care of and spending time with Amanda, his daughter.
Survivors include his Children- Michael J. Garcia, Joseph A (Jan) Garcia, Kerry B (Kristine) Garcia, Aaron M (Jennifer) Garcia & Amanda Garcia; Grandchildren-Brooklyn, Brittany, Michael, Zachary, Brianna, Uriah, Kaylaree, Kerry Jr., Khloe, Kaleb, Kalyn, Kolbe, Kiara, Kamryn, Brynlee & Aria; Sister-Diane Martine, Brother- Daniel Garcia & various great grandchildren.
In addition to his Wife-Susie Garcia, he was preceded in death by his parents- Pete and Jovita Garcia & Siblings-Alex Garcia, Irene Carrillo, Delfina More and Lucy Estrada.
Family and Friends will gather to remember Joe at 904 E. Thompson from 1:30-4:00 pm on Saturday December 31, 2022, after a private family viewing and Graveside.
