Obituary for Jeffery Paul Wilson
Jeffery Paul Wilson, 57, died Saturday March 12, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. He was born on July 3, 1964, in Cassville, Missouri. He was the son of James and Elma Wilson.
Although he was born in Cassville, the family moved to Garden City, Kansas when he was 10 months old. He lived most of his life in Garden City, but ventured to live short periods in Oklahoma and Texas. As a kid he loved spending time with his grandpa working with pigeons and chickens. He often entered his birds in the county fair. His passion for birds never ended. As a young child he also enjoyed riding on the semi with his father. Anytime he got the chance to go along he would.
He is survived by his two children Jodi Wilson and Jeffery Wilson Jr. both of Ulysses, Kansas; as well as his 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by his mother Elma Wilson of Garden City, Kansas; One sister Nancy Wilson; One Brother Melvin Wilson, 9 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father James Wilson and his grandparents John and Evelyn Allen and Mary Alger and Raleigh Wilson.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Pastor Bob Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials given to the Jeffery Wilson Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
