Obituary for Janet Pearson
Janet Pearson, age 90, of Ulysses, Kansas, died Monday, March 27, 2023, at Western Prairie Senior Living Community in Ulysses. She was born May 18, 1932, in Larned, Kansas, the daughter of Emery and Jewell (Davidson) Windmill.
Janet’s family moved to Johnson when she was 12 years old, and she graduated from Johnson High School in 1950. She married Charles Orlin (C.O.) Pearson on July 15, 1951, in Johnson. Over the years, Janet worked as a bookkeeper for Ulysses Co-op and was a desk clerk at Single Tree Inn. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Shelton Memorial Christian Church. Janet loved getting together with friends and played with many Bridge clubs.
Janet is survived by her children, Kris Pearson and wife Gayle of Overland Park, Rhett Pearson of Ulysses, and Julie Boyer of Sunray, Texas; daughter-in-law, Janice Pearson of Goodland; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Jewell Windmill; husband, C.O. Pearson; sisters, Charlene Garrison and Emeryl Morris; and son, David Pearson.
