Obituary for Hope Renee Minet
Hope Renee Minet was a loving and devoted mom, grandma, sister, and friend. She went to be with Jesus on March 14, 2022 at the age of 65.
She was born on July 8, 1956 in Garden City, Kansas to William and Irene Brewer. Hope graduated in 1975 from Holcomb High School. Working as a paraprofessional and bus driver for the Ingalls School District for many years, she was able to do what she loved; working with kids and making lifelong friendships.
Hope was known for her orneriness, making people laugh, and brightening one’s day. She was immensely proud of her family, and spending time with her grandkids was something she enjoyed above all else. She loved people and was a friend to everyone. She cherished her friends like they were family.
Hope is survived by her 5 children: Michelle (Cane) Unruh of Ozawkie, Kansas; Jennifer (Garet) Beach of Pierceville, Kansas; Brandi (Clay) Ade of Assaria, Kansas; Travis (Danielle) Murray of Salina, Kansas; and David Minet of Salina, Kansas; as well as her 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is also survived by 2 brothers: Mike (Becky) Brewer of Surprise, Arizona; Jim (Ronda) Brewer of Lakin, Kansas, 2 sisters: Jackie (Junior) Burns of College Station, Texas; Debbie (Daniel) Bohannon of Garden City, Kansas, 2 sisters-in-law: Ruth Brewer of Garden City, Kansas, and Linda Brewer of Garden City, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Steve Brewer, Robert Brewer, William Brewer, and 2 sisters: Mary Alice Brewer and Dorothy Wolfe.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 19 at 11 a.m. at St Dominic Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas with burial at Valley View Cemetery following service.
