Guadalupe Hernandez Ollarzabal,52, died Tuesday April 18, 2023 at his home in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on February 15, 1970 in San Benito Texas the son of Fidel Hernandez Garcia and Carolina Ollarzabal Rangel.,
Mr Hernandez moved to Garden City in the early 1980’s. It was here that he met his soulmate, Flor DeLeon. They were married for over 30 years. He was a good provider for his family. He started working at the age of 14 picking apples to help supplement the Hernandez Ollarzabal income. At the age of 18 he started at Tyson and was employed there for 35 years. His coworkers all appreciated his work ethic and dedication to detail. He was always willing to lend a hand when the need arose. His family and friends all will miss his generous spirit, gentle disposition, and noble heart. He was much loved by all who met him and will be missed deeply. He was a man of great faith, even when faced with his own mortality.
He is survived by his Wife- Flor Hernandez; Children-Jesus Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez & Naiely Hernandez; Grandchildren-Andres Mateo Bustillos Hernandez, Ian Jesus Hernandez, Allie Marie Hernandez, Adriel Hernandez, Kassandra Hernandez, Adriana, Damian & Daniel; Parents Fidel and Carolina; Siblings- David Hernandez Ollarzabal, Fidel Hernandez Ollarzabal, Evangelina Ollarzabal, Maria de Jesus Ollarzabal, Victor Hernandez Ollarzabal, Doralia Hernandez Ollarzabal, Alberto Hernandez Ollarzabal & Maria del Refugio Hernandez Ollarzabal & numerous Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Son- Eric Hernandez.
Visitation will be held 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with Rosary at 5:00 pm, all Thursday April 20, 2023 at Garnand Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 pm Friday April 21, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will take follow at Valley View Cemetery.
