Gerardo Herrera-Reyes, 21, died Saturday January 1, 2022 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born July 9, 2000 in Garden City, the son of Jorge L. and Martha (Reyes) Herrera.

Gerardo attended St Dominic School and graduated from Garden City Senior High School. He had worked as a Concrete Finisher in the Construction Industry for various employers. He enjoyed hiking, weightlifting, off-roading, and dancing.

He is preceded in death by his Grandfathers- Ezequiel Herrera and Jose Angel Reyes & Uncle Rafael Reyes.

He is survived by his Parents- Jorge and Martha Herrera; Siblings- Jorge L. (Ivett) Herrera-Reyes, Liseth Herrera, Jose Angel Herrera-Reyes & Jesus Herrera-Reyes; Nephews- Jayden Herrera Ortega & David Ian Herrera; Grandmothers- Maria Soledad Hernandez & Maria Luisa Hernandez & numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Visitation will be held 10:00 am-5:00 pm Tuesday January 4, 2022 at Garnand Funeral Home and Rosary will follow at 7:30 pm at St Mary Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am Wednesday January 5, 2022 also at St Mary Catholic Church with Father Jacob Schneider as Celebrant and broadcast via the St. Mary Catholic Church Facebook Page. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
