Obituary for Fred M Sanchez
Fred M Sanchez, 92, died Thursday November 5, 2020 at the Ranch House Senior Living in Garden City, Kansas. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois May 4, 1928 the son of Jose M. and Lenora (Guerola) Sanchez.
Fred was born in Illinois and lived a short time in La Junta Colorado before his family moved to Garden City in 1938. In his younger days he enjoyed fast cars and was quite the sharp dresser. He had worked for Ready Mix Concrete before retiring in 1976. Most recently he had lived his sunset years at Homestead Assisted Living and The Ranch House Senior Living. He was considered a good friend both by the residents and staff. Fred enjoyed visiting with family and friends on Facetime and in person. He loved desserts, Pepsi, and collecting hats. He never had children of his own and was that gentle, sweet uncle who made all the nieces and nephews feel special.
He is survived by his sister Ann & Joe Delgado; Brother in law Robert Hernandez and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents-Jose M and Lenora Sanchez; Siblings-Connie Hernandez and Mary Ann Calderon & 2 infant siblings.
A Liturgical Service will be held 12:00 pm Monday November 9, 2020 at Garnand Funeral Home with Father Jacob Schneider as Celebrant and broadcast live via the Garnand Facebook Page. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. There will not be any visitation.
