Obituary for Flor A Cruz
Flor Cruz, 54, died Monday April 4, 2022 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born October 8, 1967 in Apaseo Nieves, Zacatecas, Mexico. It was there that she married Jose A. Cruz on April 21, 1983. They were childhood friends, he later returned and won her attention and love, eventually becoming her soul mate. He survives. She also leaves behind her Daughters-Adriana and Gerardo Garcia and their Children-Tyler, Arianna & Ariadne; Mayra and Meda Munoz and their Children-Fernanda, Matteo,& Ximena & Son-Angel Cruz.
She was a faithful servant of the Lord and member of St Mary Catholic Church, The Cursillistas, and Lector. She was employed at Tyson as an Ergonomics Monitor. She loved to dance and didn’t mind that her husband didn’t like dancing. She smiled with her eyes, as they were what drew your attention when she spoke. As a wife, mother and grandmother, she loved wholeheartedly. The faith in in her heart was evident in all of her selfless words and actions. She enjoyed Karaoke with friends, serving her family and doting on her grandchildren. Her time was brief but her memories long lasting.
Other survivors include her Mother- Amaparo Cardenas; Siblings-Eloy Garcia, Hector Garcia, Abel Garcia, Aida Garcia and Mayela Acosta & numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Brother-Hugo Garcia.
Visitation will be held 11am – 5 pm Thursday April 7, 2022 at Garnand Funeral Home with Rosary to follow at 7:30pm at St Mary Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held 12pm Friday April 8, 2022 at St Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Schneider as Celebrant and broadcast live via the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Flor Cruz Memorial Fund in Care of Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N 7th Street, Garden City, KS. 67846.
