Garden City- Donna Jean Grauberger, 71, died on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born on February 12, 1951 at Garden City, the daughter of Henry & Opal Rose (McGee) Grauberger.

Donna was a lifetime Garden City resident. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1969 and St Joseph School of Nursing in Wichita in 1975. She worked as a Registered Nurse in many capacities at St Catherine Hospital for 48 years. Donna was a devoted Christian. Donna’s hobbies were genealogy and loved sharing all the interesting facts about our family, any kind of crafts, sewing, making holiday wreaths, but especially taking care of her yard. Donna was a cat lover and had many over the years. A stray cat knew where to get a meal and a warm place to sleep.

She is survived by her 2 brothers - Thomas Grauberger of Lakin and Kenneth (Penny) Grauberger of Deerfield and 2 sisters - Margaret Holman and Susan (Larry) Johnston, both of Garden City and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters – Carol Marie Grauberger and Martha Elaine Westerbuhr, sister-in-law Carol Grauberger, 2 nephews John Westebuhr and Scott Skipper, and a niece Karla Timmons.

Memorial service will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 12th at Garnand Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug Williams officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
