Obituary for Dameon Chris Apodaca

Dameon Chris Apodaca, 23, was called home to be with the Lord, Monday May 2, 2022 in Salina, Kansas. He was born July 8, 1998 in Garden City, Kansas. He is the second born of five children. He attended school in Garden City, Kansas. His adventurous nature, love of the outdoors and desire to work towards his dreams lead him to many places during his adult life. He lived in multiple cities in Kansas, Colorado and Alaska. He was the proud father of four-year-old Gio.

As a child, Dameon was very active. Whether he was climbing the walls like spiderman or running down the football field, he was always on the move. His love for the game of Football, made him a lifelong Denver Broncos fan. He liked to keep unconventional pets (such as insects that he would find) building them homes from his toys, much to his mother’s dismay. Throughout his youth, he would purchase and care for many types of rodents, insects and fish; always having compassion and love for creatures that many others would not. In his adult years his work ethic shined in his many endeavors. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and was making plans to start his own delivery service. Dameon enjoyed working with his hands, cooking, cars and found solace in the great outdoors. His quick wit brought his family and friends many laughs throughout the years. His compassionate heart was so great he would literally give the shirt off his back or the shoes from his feet to someone in need. His example of adventure, compassion, love, hard work and radiating joy will live on in our hearts. He is loved and will be missed by countless friends and family. He is survived by his Son-Gio, Parents- Maria and Chip, Siblings- Dane, Xander, Xzandrea, and Atalia, Aunts and Uncles- Margarita, Solomon, Crispin, April, Amber, Jessica and Dominick, Sarah and Danny, Jeremiah and Maria, and Ruben, Grandparents- Crispin Sr. and Juana, Sheila, John, Roger and Caroline, and Rosalie, Cousins- Yvette, Angelica, Alicia, Mariana, Marina, Ari, BreAisa, Camia, Zhaeria, Divinity, D.J., Jessiah, Donte, Donavan and Nevaeh, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
