Obituary for Charlotte Elaine Elliott (Quick)

Charlotte Elaine (Quick) Elliott was born on December 29, 1941 to Jeannie (Patterson) and JN “Jack” Quick in Garden City, Kansas. Charlotte went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2022.

Charlotte was raised in Garden City and attended public schools and graduated from GCHS in 1960. During Charlotte’s summers in high school, she worked at the nursing home, and after graduation Charlotte helped her Step-Father Charles Eskelund out on the farm. After raising her children, she worked in Housekeeping for local residents and later after that she took on the chore of caretaking for various family members.

On May 27, 1961 Charlotte married the love of her life Loren Elliott, he passed away on August 31, 2011.

Charlotte had a lot of hobbies that she enjoyed which were: reading her Bible, worshiping the Lord, and dancing to his music. She also mentored through the church, she loved her flower gardens, sewing, and she also enjoyed playing piano and writing worship songs. Charlotte made crafts such as jewelry, wreaths, dolls, etc. She had a very creative mind and a knack for the way she wanted things done.

Charlotte is survived by her Daughter- Dee Adams of Garden City, Sons- Kyle Elliott of Mesa, Arizona, Chad and Sherri Elliott of Holcomb, Kansas and Bruce and Diane Elliott of Garden City, Kansas, Sister- Pamela Eskelund Lang Kramer of Middletown, Ohio, Sister-in-Law- Kay Elliott of Lakin, Uncle- David Patterson of Oklahoma, Niece- Shannon Lang House, Nephew- Don Lang, Five Grandchildren- Brice Elliott, Aaron Elliott, Kade Elliott, Jarrett Elliott, and Jennica Carlson.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her Husband- Loren Elliott, a Daughter- Valeta Jo Elliott, Parents- Jeannie Eskelund and Jack Quick, Step-Father- Charles Eskelund, and various other family members.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Word of Life Church in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Rick Beard officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Charlotte Elliott Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
