Carmen Dominguez died Sunday June 6, 2021 at her home in Garden City, Kansas.
She was born January 4, 1940 in El Salto, Durango, Mexico, the daughter of Guadalupe Santos Contreras and Herminia Cepeda de Santos.
Carmen spent most of her childhood in Juarez, Mexico. She met and married
Guillermo Dominguez in 1970 in Mexico. He died January 28, 2021. They moved to the US in 1989. She reveled in watching her grandchildren dress up for holidays and celebratory events and joined in on their adventures. They inherited her fun-seeking zest for life and friendly easy going nature. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and singing, especially at home with her grandchildren. She wasn’t just the life of the party; she was the soul of the party. She was a devout Catholic, attended church religiously, member of St. Mary Catholic Church and faithful adorer of The Virgin of Guadalupe.
Survivors include his Children-Jesus Arturo Dominguez of Miami, Florida, Veronica (Santos) Dominguez of Garden City, & Guillermo Dominguez Jr. of Garden City; 8 grandchildren & Siblings-Juana Santos Cepeda, Luciano Santos Cepeda, Eva Santos Cepeda, & Guadalupe Santos Cepeda.
In addition to her Husband , she was preceded in death by her Parents, her Son- Carlos Alberto Dominguez (2004) & Siblings-Jose Santos Cepeda & Adan Santos Cepeda.
Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Wednesday June 9, 2021 with a 6:00 pm Rosary both at Garnand Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm Thursday June 10, 2021 also at St Mary Catholic Church, 510 N 12th St, Garden City, KS with burial to follow at Valley View Cemetery Garden City.
