Obituary for Candace Mae Voet

Candy (Candace) Mae Voet (Terry Sheets), 65, born October 11, 1957 in Rapid City, South Dakota. She died March 24, 2023 at The Ranch House in Garden City, Kansas. The daughter of William Patrick Sheets & Lucile Janet Kiewel.

Candy graduated from Central High School in Rapid City in 1976 and went on to become a nurse. She married Michael Terry in 1977 in Rapid city and had two children. They later divorced in 1982. Candy later met Terry Voet in Hot Springs South Dakota and got married in Reno, Nevada. In 1988 they moved to California and separated in 1992. She moved back to South Dakota to be close to her sister. A short time later they all moved to Garden City then a move to Holcomb, Kansas and then to Custer, South Dakota and returning again to Garden City where she finished her life. She began attending church in 2019 and accepted Jesus at the Easter Service and was baptized in July and became an active member of First Baptist Church of Holcomb.

Candy is survived by her children- Jenny Robbins, Jim & Shirley Terry both of Garden City, Ks, Siblings- Donna Badger, James Sheets both of Holcomb, Ks, Nieces- Jeannette & Martin Diez of California, Amber Badger of Kansas, 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great- Nieces & Nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents- William & Lucile Sheets, Siblings- Billie Joe Sheets, Sharon Gillum, William Paul Sheets, Grandson- Garrett Robbins and Great Nephew- Trevor Korbe.

A Memorial Service will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday April 15, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Holcomb, Kansas with Pastor Jon Sanders officiating with a reception to follow. Please coordinate flower deliveries with Pastor Jon. Family suggests Memorial be made to Candace Voet Memorial Fund, First Baptist Church of Holcomb, Finney County Humane Society or Caregivers Home Health in Care of Garnand Funeral Home 412 N. 7th St, Garden City, Ks 67846.
