Obituary for Camila De Jesus Hernandez de Mezquita
Camila De Jesus Hernandez de Mezquita, 76, died Monday October 19, 2020 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born April 19, 1944 in Santa Ana, El Salvador.
Camila was raised in El Salvador, attending school in El Paraiso. She married Gavino De Jesus Mezquita, together and they raised 8 children. He preceded her in death. She currently resided in Garden City, Kansas. She loved listening to music and much to the enjoyment of her family would sing her lungs out to her favorite songs. Other joys included playing the odds on scratch off lottery tickets, going to the casino and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Survivors include her children-Martha Magana, Adelina Garcia & Isreal Mezquita of Garden City; Rina Elizabeth Mesquita & Dionila Ortez of Dodge City, Kansas; Ester Zapata of Los Angeles, California; Dimas Adali Mezquita of Spain and Ismael Mesquita of New York; 23 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother-Ventura Hernandez.
Visitation will be held at 11:00-am to 8:00-pm with a Rosary at 3:00-pm and Funeral Mass at 5:00 all on Saturday October 24, 2020 at Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N7th Street, Garden City, Kansas.
