11 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

Leonard was born and raised in Garden City. In 1950 he enlisted in the United States Army. He returned to Kansas and lived in Hutchinson for 5 years before moving back to Garden City. While living in Garden City he worked for P&L Construction and in maintence fro St. Catherine Hospital for 25 years. He went on to retire from the City of Garden City. Leonard enjoyed wood working, fishing and spending time with his family, sepecially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers Don, Ron, Jim and Vernon Caotes and 1 niece Lori Bowyer.
