Obituary for Robert E. "Bobby" Brant

Robert E. “Bobby” Brant, 76, died Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. He was born December 2, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Theodore & Veda (Talmadge) Brant.
Born in Wichita, Kansas, Bobby lived a big part of his life in Wichita and Augusta. He worked for many years for the City of Augusta. Bobby later lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for a couple of years before moving back to Augusta. He has been a resident of Holcomb and Garden City since 1987. He was a member of the Garden City Tigers/Special Olympics. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, softball, camping, coloring, taking care of his dogs, and watching western movies.
Survivors include a Sister-In-Law Lora Brant of Holcomb and several nieces and nephews including Kimberly Schmidt of Augusta, Ks., T.J. Brant of Holcomb, Ks., Kandie Brungardt of Garden City, Ks., and Kenneth Brant, Jr. of Augusta, Ks.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother Ruby Brant; 2 brothers Vernon Brant and Kenneth Brant, Sr.; and a sister Betty.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Von Hunn officiating. A private family interment will take place at Valley View Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorials given to the Bobby Brant Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
