Obituary for Carolyn Kay Mudd

Dighton- Carolyn Kay Mudd, 78, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City. She was born on May 31, 1940 at Dighton the daughter of Robert D. & Oral Permilia (Jordan) Bartlett. She married Earl Rush in 1962 at Denver. She later married Ernest J. Mudd on October 21, 1978 at Dighton.

Carolyn graduated from Dighton High School in 1958 and moved to Denver to attend Central Business College. She had her training as a stenographer and went to work for Martin Marietta Aerospace Corporation. She moved back to Dighton in 1977 and worked for many years at the Dighton ASCS office (later FSA). She was a member of the First Christian Church of Dighton. She enjoyed being involved with the booster club when her children were in school and crocheting, sewing, knitting and her stamp and crafts collections. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Step-Mother- Wanda Bartlett and Sister- Julienne Noll.

Survivors include her Husband- Ernest Mudd of the Home, Son- Bob Mudd of Dighton, 2 Daughters- Jenifer and Marty Garcia of Arvada, Colorado & Melissa & Jarric Miller of Lawrence, 3 Brothers- Charles Canty of Caldwell, Idaho, Ned Chaney of Dayton, Nevada & Jerry Chaney of San Diego, California, 8 Grandchildren & 2 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday at First Christian Church with Rev Aerii Smith officiating. Memorials are suggested to St Catherine Hospice in care of Boomhower Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
