Sherry and Scott were married in Dighton in 1966 when Sherry was 18. They soon moved to Wichita so Scott could pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation they moved to Niles, Ohio where they spent the next five years. Sherry and Scott’s only son, Wade, was born in Ohio on June 23rd, 1973. Sherry’s love of animals continued and the family was completed with Punkin, the dog, and always a couple of cats in the house…Muffin, Butter, Stinker, and Cookie to name a few. Sherry was an avid reader and worked in a used bookstore while in Ohio. Sherry moved with her family to Prairie Village in 1985. The early years in Prairie Village were devoted to raising her young son and making as many trips as possible to spend time with her parents, Bill and Thelma, in Dighton.
