Obituary for Roger Alan Crone

Roger Alan Crone, 53, died Sunday, July 23, 2017 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. Born the son of Donald & Nancy (Hitchcock) Crone, Roger has been a lifetime Garden City resident. He attended Garden City schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1982. Roger worked in farming for Robert Drees for close to 20 years. He then became co-owner of RC Electric in Garden City. Roger was a member of the English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed fishing, working, and his ministry at the congregation.
Survivors include his parents Donald & Nancy Crone of Monte Vista, Colorado; 4 brothers Rodney Crone of Garden City, Kansas, Ronald Crone of Garden City, Kansas, Russell Crone of Garden City, Kansas, and Ryan Crone of San Tan Valley, Arizona; and a sister Jeannette Crone of Monte Vista, Colorado.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Garden City with services being conducted by the English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. An additional memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Monte Vista, Colorado. A private family interment will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The family suggests memorial contributions to the World Wide Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
