Travis Smith, 45 died Monday, October 10, 2016 at his home in Garden City. He was born June 18, 1971 in Garden City the son of Richard G. & Janice K. (Martin) Smith.
Travis lived most of his life in Garden City where he attended Garden City schools. He has worked for many years as an assistant manager at Wal-Mart.
Survivors include his parents Richard and Janice Smith of Shallow Water, Kansas, 3 sisters Misti & husband Stephen Breault of Fort Worth, Texas, Tawni Lynch of Satanta, Kansas, and Aimei Smith of Satanta, Kansas; 2 brothers James Smith of Pheonix, Arizona and Ivan Smith of Shallow Water, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Travis is preceded in death by a sister Kayli Lawson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Rev. Gerry Dupuis officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. A reception will be held at 5:00 p.m. also on Friday at the Garden City Co-op. The family request memorials given to the Travis Smith Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home of Garden City.
