Obituary for Lee H. Belknap

Lee H. Belknap, 94 died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at his home in Garden City
Born: December 3, 1921 in Logan County
Parents: Ernest M. & Carrie H. (Norton) Belknap
Marriage: to Annabell Berry on September 16, 1943 at Garden City
She died on January 24, 2001

Memberships: National Rifle Association
Garden City Road Riders
Sand & Sage Rifle & Pistol Club

Lee moved with his family to Garden City in 1940. He started driving a truck hauling produce from Missouri to Garden City. During World War II he did aircraft maintenance at the Garden City Air Base while serving in the Kansas State Guard. He worked for Best Seed Company for 31 years, cleaning wheat and producing livestock feed until he retired in 1983. In retirement he did part time maintenance work and mechanic work. He loved fixing and building things and was the family handyman. He also enjoyed shooting and reloading guns and his extensive Christmas yard light display. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, 1 Son- Donnie Belknap & 2 Brothers- Ralph Belknap & Clarence Belknap.
