Obituary for George Haidle
George Haidle, 87 died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. He was born May 10, 1929 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania the son of Henry George & Isabelle (McIntosh) Haidle.
George grew up in McKeesport, Pennsylvania where he attended school. After serving in the United States Navy, George lived in various places throughout the United States. He moved to Garden City from Ft. Worth, Texas in 2007 and has lived in Garden City since. George worked as a mechanic for various aircraft companies. He later worked in real estate. George enjoyed playing cards, fishing, cooking, food shopping, and the holidays.
Survivors include a daughter Jeane Kelly of Garden City; a sister Jean Hollenbeck of Tennessee; and several grandchildren.
A private family service will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours.
