Obituary for Amedeo Grieco
Amedeo Grieco, 71 died Sunday, December 13, 2015 in Gray County, Kansas. He was born March 30, 1944 in Benevento, Italy the son of Vittorio & Emilia (Zirpoli) Grieco.
Amedeo grew up in Italy where he attended school. He attended the Genoa Conservatory of Music. On October 24, 1974 he married Graziella Letizia Gabusi in Belprato, Italy. Shortly after their marriage they moved to the United States. They lived in Georgia, Virginia, and California before recently moving to Garden City. A restauranteur and pianist Amedeo worked as a musician, restaurant owner, chef, and restaurant consultant. Since moving to Garden City Amedeo has worked as the general manager at Giardino Restaurant. He enjoyed singing, playing the piano, cooking, and traveling.
Survivors include his wife Graziella Letizia Grieco of the home; and two sons Vittorio Amedeo Grieco of Santa Barbara, California and Francesco Alessandro Grieco of Santa Monica, California. Amedeo is preceded in death by his parents and 7 brothers.
A memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City with Fr. Charles Seiwert as Celebrant. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Belprato, Italy. There will be no calling hours.
