Obituary for Anna M. Reid

Anna Margaret Reid passed away peacefully on October 1, 2015 in Wichita, KS, after a short illness. Anna was born in Queensport Nova Scotia Canada on July 6, 1932. Anna and husband, Garnet moved to Garden City in 1961. Anna was a homemaker and after her children were raised she worked outside the home into her 80’s. She is preceded in death by her husband, Garnet; parents Levi and Myrtle Power; siblings Erskine Power, and Dolly Filiatrault all of Canada. Anna is survived by her daughters, Deborah Ramstack(Joe), Darlene Ruelas(Ernest), and Deanna Baier(Melvin); son, Daron; five grandchildren, Dakota Bartles, Rebekah Ramstack, Isabella, Ana, & Francesca Ruelas; and great grandson Maddox Ruelas; her siblings from Canada; Beatrice Molloy, William Power, Glenda Feeney, Lee Power, Joanne Edgecombe, Margie Kinzel & Terri Thompson. Anna’s greatest joy was her family, especially her new grandson Maddox, lifelong friendships, baseball and keeping busy. Service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, October 10th. Visitation with family at 9:00 a.m., and burial will follow at the Valley View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Garden City.
