Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Juarez

Mary Juarez, 44, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at St Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born November 2, 1970 in Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Anthony & Delfina (Guillen) Orozco.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Garden City, where she graduated from Garden City Senior High School and later attended Garden City Community College. She worked as a dispatcher for the Garden City Police Department, paraprofessional and substitute teacher for USD 457, and caregiver for special needs persons at Karis. She was a movie buff, enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her beloved husband, family and many Chihuahuas.
On June 21, 2002 she married Guillermo Juarez in Garden City, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include her sister, Rebecca Orozco of Wichita, Kansas, a brother Anthony Orozco Jr. of Arizona, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dabian Orozco, her grandparents, Jess and Elizabeth Orozco, and Guadalupe and Mary Guillen.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 18, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City with Father James Baker presiding. There will be no calling hours. The family requests memorials to the Mary Juarez Memorial Fund in care of Garnand funeral Home of Garden City. Condolences may be given at garnandfuneralhomes.com.
