Obituary for Wint Harris

Wint Harris, age 57, of Elkhart, Kansas died March 23, 2015 at his home in Elkhart, Kansas. He was born August 10, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Charles Wintford Sr. and Jane (Crittendon) Harris.

Wint grew up in Wichita and graduated from Southeast High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from KU. Wint was a professional glass blower, the owner of Harris Gallery, and Harris Energies Inc., where he was a Petroleum Landman. He married Marla J. Miller in 1994. Wint enjoyed music, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and time spent with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Marla of their home; sons, Aaron Cromer and wife Brenda of Elkhart, Kansas, Charles Wintford Harris III of Pelham, Alabama; daughter, Terra Orth and husband Shannon of Elkhart, Kansas; brothers, John Harris of Wichita, Kansas and Ray J. Harris of Paradise Valley, Arizona; sister, Margaret Harris of Wichita, Kansas; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Wint is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the First Church of God in Elkhart, Kansas with Pastor Keith Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart. Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart High School Stuco Pink Fund, Leukemia and Lymphoma Association or the Christian Worship Hour all in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
